We are looking for an experienced Medior data engineer to join a fast-growing data-driven scale-up within the Environmental/Clean Energy industry, based in Amsterdam. The role will heavily involve maintaining data warehouses, supporting their data platform, and helping to future-proof their existing data architecture & Streaming with Kafka.

THE ROLE

As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with business teams to understand and then implement technical requirements
• Supporting business users with the evaluation of metrics with dashboards
• Maintaining and building their data platform.
• Data Streaming with Kafka.
• You will be expected to be able to build cloud-based data warehouses.
• You will also be creating and maintaining ETL Pipelines, setting up the orchestration in Airflow.
• You will be working alongside the existing Data Engineering team in maintaining these processes.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will need to

• Be an experienced engineer
• Have great knowledge of working with Kafka, Airflow, and Spark
• Be a strong programmer in Python or a similar language
