Role Overview
As a Data Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and working closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, data engineers, and business stakeholders. Your goal will be to ensure that our data products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability, while continuously aligning with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with company goals and market needs.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects customer needs and business priorities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, set expectations, and deliver value-driven outcomes.
- Agile Leadership: Lead the product development process within Agile frameworks, working closely with Scrum Masters, DevOps, and development teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Data Quality & Governance: Collaborate with data teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and user feedback, and drive continuous improvements and innovation.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally within data-centric or tech-driven environments.
- Agile Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience working in Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data engineering, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, make data-driven decisions, and articulate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Leadership: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management software.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Certifications in Agile (CSPO, SAFe) or Product Management.
